EZHONG delivered the EZY92-3150KN heavy-duty horizontal axle press for railway rolling stock wheelset and bearing maintenance. The system provides 3,150 kN opposing axial force, rail support trolleys, and up to 3,500 mm insertion length to prevent shaft deflection during assembly.
Railway Rolling Stock Wheelset & Heavy Shaft Assembly
In railway vehicle maintenance depots, locomotive repair facilities, and heavy electrical machinery manufacturing, interference-fit assembly and demounting of rolling bearings, brake discs, and wheelsets onto long axles represent demanding engineering tasks. Conventional vertical hydraulic presses require extreme ceiling clearance, prolonged overhead crane rigging, and introduce severe buckling risks for slender shafts under heavy axial loads.
To eliminate these operational bottlenecks, EZHONG engineered the EZY92 series heavy horizontal wheel-and-axle press. Featuring an opposing dual-column reaction frame, movable resistance beam, and rail-guided hydraulic support trolleys, the machine provides automated height centering and rigid axial guidance, ensuring damage-free cold press-fitting and demounting of precision bearing journals and wheels.
